Drawing The Line

First Draft · 100% Complete
This is my NaNoWriMo 2008 Novel. Its story is pretty complicated. You’ll get something of a synopsis once the first draft is complete pretty soon. Basically, it is a fantasy story, focusing on education, politics, inventions, premonitions, deities and magic. It’s a fairly adult story. It has some bloody death and ethical problems, things like that.

Untitled Comic Book Series
Issue 1: First Draft · 46% Complete
I came up with this concept mid-December. It’s not unlike my old comic, Parallelax, in that it is about a girl that exists in two very different worlds. It’s a young adult fantasy about a teenage girl. One is a normal schoolgirl from a miscellaneous English-speaking nation, (either UK or Australia/New Zealand, most likely, since she speaks in UK English) and the other is one of the last remaining humans in a fantasy world where elves are a dominant species. Since their respective 15th birthdays they have been dreaming of one another.

Illawarra Explorer
Concept · 33% Complete
So, this was an idea I had when I realised there wasn’t very many websites about the Illawarra region. There’s only a little tourist information and stuff. So I decided why not make a website while my sister and I discover the Illawarra for ourselves? We’ve lived here since July 2008 but we’ve really only scratched the surface of what it has to offer. So we want to travel around, take photos, write articles, etc etc, to make a solid website about the area. It could include reviews of shops and places, Wollongong music scene, maybe find out more about Wollongong Uni, that sort of thing.
I thought I’d call it “Illawarra Explorer”, but that may change if I think of something better.

Site Flight Web Design

Website · 100% Complete
Emerald Package Templates · 10% CompleteWell, I’ve officially started my own business. I’m now looking for clients.

Taren Point Titans J.R.L.F.C.Third Stage · 100% Complete (awaiting next stage)
This is my current commissioned project. I’m waiting on the next request from them. They eventually want a fullscale junior footy team website, with draws and videos and such.
This is my two nephews’ team, and I ‘liaise’ with my brother-in-law, so it’s a nice gradual easing into the industry

Platformer Game – Puff!
Concept · 95% Complete | Physics · 95% Complete | Story · 75% Complete | Levels · 2% Complete
Did I seriously just add yet another project to my list? Apparently I did. It is low priority, though.Basically, as a supporter to my comic book series, I have started work on a platformer based on the character of Puff the Dragon, the pet of the main character in the fantasy world. I am using Game Maker to create it. I have created a couple of pixel graphics of Puff, and I have pretty much worked out the physics. The next few steps will be figuring out the storyline, the levels, level design, flame breath, enemies, and cutscenes. There will eventually be a lot of man hours put into this, but it is not very important, which is why it is lowest on my priority list.
P.S. Yes, it will be somewhat Spyro-esque. I do love the first few Spyro games (though I’m not into ANY of the Spyro games after the PlayStation 1 – they get far too complex! Spyro: Year of the Dragon had it right. Incidentally, that is why I love retro Sonic games – for the simplicity of one button doing it all). It was actually by chance that I decided upon using Puff. I was just trying to think of a way for the video game to not be a whole new project – instead to tie into one I’m already working on. I didn’t want to use a person because humans in video games are boring. That’s when I thought of Puff.
